When it comes to high energy teaching
and dancing, acclaimed dancers Dan Newsome
and Tiffiny Wine have repeatedly taken
lindy hop to a higher level.
Dancing for 10 years, they’ve
placed in and won numerous national competitions
including the Ultimate Lindy Hop Showdown, Midwest
Lindy Fest, Reno Dance Sensation, National Jitterbug
Championships and the Rhythmic Arts Festival.
They also founded, head up, choreograph and coach
23 Skidoo, Denver’s nationally recognized
swing team, which they are proud to report has
won 1st place at every competition they have gone
to in 2006 and 2007, and is currently one of the
top three teams in the world.

Dan and Tiff have been a major force in developing
the Denver lindy hop and swing scene. They have
dedicated the last 10 years of their lives to
keeping vintage music, dance and culture alive
by providing regular instruction, performances,
and the opportunity to social dance to vintage
jazz music. They presently run and DJ the Tuesday
and Thursday swing nights at the Mercury Cafe,
and teach lessons on Sunday nights when they are
in town. The Mercury is considered one of the
best swing clubs in the country. Dan is also a
nationally recognized swing DJ, with many impressive
national level competions, clubs and events on
his resume.
They've made it their personal goal
not only to become excellent dancers in their
own right, but to bring all that they learn and
improve upon back to their home town, and to transfer
that skill and knowledge on to the next person
willing to learn. They pride themselves on keeping
a personal relationship with their students, providing
clear communication, one-on-one help, and a fun
and inviting atmosphere to all who wish to learn.
This blend of down-to-earth instruction and elite
performance skills is a rare treat for students.
After a couple of classes, you'll
see why they are the most popular teachers for
1,000 miles in any direction.
